Be SMOOTH

Botox

in a nutshell

“Botox isn’t about erasing your expressions—it’s about softening the lines that no longer serve you.”

At Be CLINICAL, our Botox treatments help reduce fine lines, prevent deeper wrinkles, and support long-term facial balance.

Using a highly tailored approach, we offer precise Botox injections in San Ramon for clients looking for natural-looking results and confident aging. Our expert aesthetic team uses Botox to prevent and correct wrinkles in areas like the forehead, eyes, jawline, and neck.

How does Botox Work?

Botox is a neuromodulator—a medication that temporarily reduces muscle movement in targeted areas of the face and neck.

“Botox works by stopping the underlying muscle from contracting. That means it’s no longer putting repeated pressure on the skin above it—so lines don’t deepen. Over time, this preserves smoother, more youthful skin.”

Think of Botox as a preventative skincare essential. When used consistently and correctly, it can delay the development of static wrinkles—the ones that stick around even when you’re not making an expression.

At Be CLINICAL, we take a conservative, expert approach to Botox. We know that unnatural results usually come from overfilling—not neurotoxins. Our goal is always the same: to enhance your natural features, soften signs of aging, and help you feel confident without anyone knowing you’ve had anything done.

Botox can treat a variety of areas and concerns, including:

Crows Feet

What is Botox?

Botox, short for botulinum toxin, is a neurotoxic protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It is widely used to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. Botox by Allergan works by temporarily blocking nerve signals in the muscles where it is injected, preventing them from contracting. As a result, it helps to smooth out wrinkles and lines caused by repetitive facial expressions like frowning or squinting.

Botox injections reduce muscle contractions by blocking the signals from nerves to muscles. When the injected muscles aren’t able to contract as tightly, the skin relaxes and softens, improving the wrinkle. Botox can also prevent new wrinkles from forming and is used as a preventative treatment in younger populations but it can also help existing wrinkles from deepening and worsening.

What is Dysport?

Dysport is a form of botulinum toxin type A. Similar to Botox and Xeomin, Dysport by Galderma is used for cosmetic purposes to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults. It is injected into specific facial muscles to reduce muscle activity and, consequently, diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

The mechanism of action of Dysport is comparable to Botox—it temporarily blocks nerve signals in the muscles, preventing them from contracting and causing wrinkles. Some individuals may experience a quicker onset of action with Dysport compared to Botox, with results becoming noticeable within a few days after treatment.

Enhance Your Results

While Botox works to relax wrinkle-causing muscles, combining it with other clinically advanced treatments can significantly improve your skin’s health and structure.

Our providers may recommend pairing Botox with:

  • Biostimulators like Radiesse and Sculptra
These injectable collagen stimulators help “bank” collagen over time, improving firmness, structure, and skin quality.
  • BroadBand Light (BBL HERO™) for pigmentation and skin tone
  • Medical-grade facials for hydration, exfoliation, and cellular turnover
  • Clinical skincare including antioxidants, peptides, and prescription-strength topicals

Collagen banking through biostimulants is especially powerful when paired with neuromodulators—treating both movement and structure at once for more comprehensive, long-lasting results.
